An old battered journal. Weathered. But still bound and whole.
Who am I?
I am Strahd. Son Of Ravenona and Barov, Knight, Prince, and symbol of Barovia. My father’s kingdom is quiet, except the wolves and witches of the forest, and the clatter of our neighbors. Tradesmen come and go, traveling the roads protected by Sergei and I.
I fled. I am undying. Lost on the road I turned to the Vistani. It’s is there I hide with a kind and strong woman: Katerina. I do not know why I trust her, but the Vistani have always taken me in. There I become Andral, a wanderer. I journey to Barovia’s edges, but the mists keep me bound within the land itself.
Now powerful another came through the mists. At first, I relished another Immortal. One so like me. But he too, is cursed. And the Dark Mistress urges him to grow. He took the Symbol of Ravenkind from me, but I have gained far more. Power!!!
