Factions of Barismoor
A preview of the 3 Factions that are hidden inside of Barismoor, the site for the Excursions Unlimited TTRPG sessions, set in Ar'rin. And some details about the Factions now rumored to live there.
Barismoor: abandoned after the Daemonic Purge, this city was once the first many visitors reached when traveling to the High Kingdom of Balinor. Renowned for its walled design in the shape of an eight-pointed star, each point housing a structure of importance for the land.
Now it is home to the minions of Shadow who endlessly seek to control these buildings.
Structures of the Outer Points
The buildings in the cardinal directions (N, S, E, W) stood at the farthest edges of the city.
Facing North is The Sky Bridge, a watchtower carved with large sentinels on either side, a knight and a mage. The tower famously featured a wide stair that ascended from the ‘Courtyard of the Travelers’. It would take the better part of an hour to ascend (according to legend) due to the crowds that would gather surveying in all directions.
Facing South, deep into the High Kingdom itself, was The Turret of Crowns. This housed those who had pledged fealty to the High King and was a heavily guarded stronghold.
To the East, facing the rising moons’ path, The Blue Minaret, this structure was carved from stone and layered with sapphires and enchanted dust. It would change color under the rising twin moons, illuminating the city with a gentle glow.
To the West, facing the setting moons’ path, was the sister tower, The Silver Spire. Etched from stone like the minaret, it was inlaid with silver and enchanted to reflect the light cast from its companion to the East.
